The Astrological birth-chart provides a holistic model of the psyche that is hitherto unparalleled in its scope and vision. It is a systematic approach to unwrapping the mysteries of your personal constitution and tying all the pieces of your life together. Astrology is based on the Law of Correspondence. Everything that is happening on a macrocosmic scale is also happening on a smaller or microcosmic scale in our own lives or so goes the maxim ‘as above, so below’.
Astrology views our solar system as a single unit of activity that revolves around the sun. Equally, it holds that we also have a solar nature and that other aspects of our being revolve around it. Each celestial body represents a different ‘organ’ of our psyche and their interaction is sometimes harmonious and sometimes acrimonious. These highs and lows are what make up the human condition and indeed the condition of every living thing.
By learning how to interpret our astrological birth chart, we can gain a deeper understanding of why we do what we do and how we relate to the world and others. It describes the kinds of experiences we seek and provides lots of suggestions for how we can find greater fulfilment in our work and personal life. Everything we experience is an extension of ourselves in some way including our place in the community. The more we understand the contradictions of our own nature, the more we can actualise and feel that our life has been well lived.
This two-day workshop will train you in the key rudiments of your own astrological chart.
By the end of the programme, you should be able to identify and have the tools to interpret:
- Four elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air)
- Three qualities (Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable)
- Twelve astrological signs
- Eight planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto)
- Two Luminaries (Sun and Moon)
- The major aspects (Conjunction, Opposition, Square, Trine)
- Twelve houses
What you will need:
Your date, time and place of birth (if you don’t know the time, it is still possible to interpret a chart but not as accurate)
Access to a stable WiFi platform
You will need to download the Zoom app onto you computer
A pencil and paper
A printer for printing off the worksheets and your birth chart beforehand
What you will get:
A copy of your birth chart.
The lectures will be recorded on Zoom and you will have access to them via Google Drive where you can download them and refer to them as many times as you like.
