Hello and Welcome!

Ayurveda is as old as the hills and and new as the smile on your face. It refers to perennial ideas and embrace life for eternity. Understanding Ayurvedic principles is not only about the richness of Indian culture but more to do with universal natural cycles. It speaks in tongues, all tongues, all cultures, all beliefs. It is the mother of all healing because it honours mother nature.

We have been studying and practising Ayurveda for almost 20 years. It is as vast as it is deep, as broad as it is comprehensive. It leaves no stone unturned and sheds light on the mystical and the mundane.

In this first video, Cathy will be talking about the links between Yoga and Ayurveda, how using Yoga and Ayurveda together changed her life.  She will give some important tips on how to use Yoga and Ayurveda in your Yoga practice.

Ayurveda for Change

In this final video, I will be talking about a project that both Dr Karelse and I are excited about, and that is our unique online training programme: Ayurveda in Action. The programme combines the very best techniques in online training including videos, handouts, powerpoint presentations and live webinars.

Our Ayurveda in Action Online is not just another course on Vata, Pitta and Kapha. We want this course to make a difference, to have an impact so you come away feeling the investment was worthwhile. We are keeping one eye on the bigger picture. You will get a broader social perspective on aspects of Ayurveda that you may not have considered before and will acquire tools that help you understand yourself better as well as the world around you.



One of the meanings of Ayurveda is Knowledge of Life. Ayurveda reminds us that nothing lives in isolation. We are all inter-connecte and need one other. We each have something special to offer and yearn for that to be recognised by others.

For too long now we have been caught up in an individualised model and it’s time to change that. It’s time to broaden our perspective and identify with the wider world we live in.

So, where does that change begin?

They say that Charity begins in the home, We say that change begins in the home too. It begins with how we treat ourselves and our loved ones but there is merit in seeing the wider world as an extension of our own home too. We can no longer live by the saying ‘out of sight, out of mind’. Our environment is crying for help and calling upon all of us to act.

Change happens when you take action, take a first step. Although we may feel overwhelmed by the current challenges, non-action is no longer an option.

The challenges we all face are part of a broader socio-political situation. We cannot magically change the economic circumstances of our lives but just because we cannot change everything doesn’t mean that we cannot change anything. We have more choices than we think.

Even a few small changes to how you manage your day, the food you put into your body and how you treat others can change the entire landscape of your life. We tend to overlook the obvious or miss the elephant in the room but our programme helps clarify what has to be changed and offers steps to change.

Yoga and Ayurveda together can help us to assess when it is right to throw down the gauntlet and challenge what is not right. It can also help us to know when to wait and see. Acting at the right time can make a big difference.

Here’s what our programme looks like.

Course Content

The Ayurveda Online Course is divided into six modules of learning. Here are the key themes for each module:

  • What is good health? What is your Ayurvedic constitution? What are the conditions that challenge well being?
  • The six elemental forces and the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha
  • Agni: Your metabolic power
  • Kitchen pharmacy and Lifestyle: How to live well
  • Yoga practice with an ayurvedic approach including Marma (sensitive zones)
  • Pacifying and purifying: When to cleanse and how to adapt to seasons

What we offer:

  • Every Module will be introduced with guidance about how to work through materials
  • Each Module will be accompanied by PDFs, slide presentations with voice-over, videos, quizzes and special practices to embed learning
  • You will be able to download all course materials and keep webinar recordings.

Live-Training Weekend

  • A non-residential Saturday and Sunday: practice-based, applying the principles of Ayurveda to Yoga
  • At least four Asana, Pranayama, Marma & Meditation Ayurveda-based sessions
  • Building on the Webinar and Online training
  • Practical exposure to integrated Ayurvedic Yoga
  • Q&A to build your knowledge

Course fee:

The current fee is £497 which includes all training, handouts, registration and support but as a thank you for following our videos, we are offering you the online programme for a really special deal of just £447  if you sign up today.
